An Exceptional Staff
Despite being an educator for some 33 years, I was still quite amazed at the ability of some teachers to transform my sons’ perceptions and performances in areas of their learning.
“We should focus on the greatest source of variance that can make the difference – the teacher.” Professor John Hattie
As mentioned in last week’s Messenger, in 2022, the School implemented MMG surveys involving parents, Year 5 and 6 students, and staff. Due to the demands of such a comprehensive survey, in 2023 the School implemented a survey just for staff.
Thirty-two staff participated in surveys, providing views on areas such as academic performance, pastoral care, Chapel, co-curricular activities, communications, reputation, and facilities.
This survey was conducted independently by MMG Education. It allowed comparison of results against MMG Benchmarks from high performing similar independent primary schools (126 school projects and 14,346 respondents).
The MMG Managing Director’s Report on our 2023 Staff Survey results (provided to the School this week, as seen below) is extremely encouraging.
Mosman Prep is committed to listening to the views and expectations of key stakeholders and commissions independent surveys to provide performance feedback on a wide range of related education topics.
The feedback from these surveys greatly assists the School with both its operational and strategic planning and its determination to continually improve the educational experience offered to the students.
Key Results
- Overall teacher satisfaction: 96% (16% above MMG average)
- Staff Wellbeing: 82% (15% above MMG)
- Student Wellbeing: 93% - as identified by staff (15% above MMG)
