A Special Night of Celebration
Our event last night was a special celebration of community and learning during the critical early years.
The richness, breadth and depth of learning enjoyed by our boys, during the time in life when their brains are most malleable and receptive to growth, is really quite remarkable. It is truly an educational provision that can kindle learning passion.
Personally, I was excited that the celebration included every boy and their learning journey.
I was heartened to hear from parents and staff prior to the event and during the celebration how excited the boys were to be sharing their learning. During the event, I was impressed and encouraged to hear them articulate that learning so effectively. We want our children to develop ownership of and responsibility for their learning journey, rather than having parents and teachers ‘drive’ it. Explaining their learning to others is a key part of growing independence.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Mosman Prep Staff for the outstanding job they did preparing for the event. Every element of the School was celebrated and every staff member contributed significantly.
Special thanks to our Music staff, Juliana Zatz, Paul Dawson, and our peripatetic music teachers for the fabulous display of singing and music we enjoyed.
Also to our administration staff, particularly Anne-Maree Pastega (Director of Admissions) and Liza Campbell (Business Manager) for the incredible job they did behind the scenes preparing for the evening.
Thank you also to our amazing canteen team who catered superbly for the evening.
And to our Mosman Prep community, it was very special to be reunited with you once again. Thank you for ’showing up’, and helping to celebrate the learning of our boys, to strengthen their perception of the importance of education, and to affirm them in their learning journey. Thank you also for your lovely feedback about the event, provided last night and today.
'Thank you and your amazing team for a brilliant evening of learning celebration tonight! Such fun, and so lovely to see all the boys so engaged in all their demonstrations.'
