A school’s success is largely determined by the calibre of its teaching and support staff.
In recent times, it has been encouraging to see the Australian Government recognising the importance of the teaching profession and taking steps to improve conditions within the sector.

This week my youngest son finished the HSC, with all three of my boys having now concluded their schooling. Reflecting on their journeys, I can identify specific teachers who have transformed my sons’ perceptions of and success in learning.
Last week we celebrated World Teachers’ Day. At Mosman Prep, we provided a special lunch to thank our Teaching and Administration Staff for their considerable contribution to our community.
In the last few years, the rate of change in education has accelerated dramatically. Between technological advancements and hybrid learning environments, teaching and learning has evolved both inside and outside of the classroom.
Teachers are not only responsible for imparting knowledge and expertise, but they play a pivotal role in shaping children’s lives and preparing them for the future. Their dedication is boundless, and their influence extends far beyond the classroom and has a lasting impact on individuals and society.
At Mosman Prep, we have an impressive teaching and general staff team, unified and dedicated to supporting the boys, parents, and each other. I am extremely thankful for their daily passion and commitment.
I am always appreciative of parent feedback about our teachers and ensure that I pass on messages of encouragement to them, such as those seen below.
“Committed intelligent high-performing teachers who know their craft and care about their children.”
“Amazing engagement with class teachers to support the specific needs of my son.”
“The pastoral care is fantastic and the detailed knowledge of my son by the staff is amazing.”
“Teachers who are approachable and accessible.”
“Personalised attention to every student -excellent teachers.”
“Teachers are passionate about the learning experience and the journey the boys take together.”
“His class teachers have been absolutely amazing in each year, each different and wonderful. Our son has thrived as a result of their care, direction and encouragement.”
As you reflect on your own schooling, like me, you may feel you wouldn’t be where you are today without some of the teachers and other school staff who have had an impact on our own lives.
